I’ve been happily knitting away on my Heartgyle Socks, looking forward to getting to the intarsia action! If you’re casting around looking for other projects that use this technique, you might struggle initially – like dip stitches and tuck stitches, “intarsia in the round” isn’t a separate pattern characteristic field on Ravelry. So here’s a small roundup of more patterns from Julia Farwell-Clay that use this technique!

I love a good polka dot, and these mittens (sized for everyone from children to adults) are a great way to use up bits of stash yarn!

Looking for more intarsia in the round patterns? You could also check out Anne Berk’s Annetarsia Knits, a pattern book that includes several in-the-round intarsia patterns. Her method is a little different from the one showcased in Boost Your Knitting — but it’s always great to see how different people approach the same knitting conundrum!

And once you’ve got the technique down, you could of course set yourself an extra challenge … converting a flat intarsia pattern to in the round knitting! I think ShinySuperHero’s Ellen Tee, with its bold modern pattern, could be a great candidate for trying out this technique!
