When you purchase a product from us that includes digital content (Confident Knitting, Boost Your Knitting, A Year of Techniques, etc.) there are multiple ways to retrieve your digital files, shown below.
Order Confirmation Page
When you complete your order, you will be directed to your Order Confirmation Page. At the bottom, you will see the option to download your digital content by clicking ‘Download Now’. Sometimes, this takes a few minutes to appear while the digital files are being prepared. You will also receive an email from us when your digital content is ready (see below).
Your Downloads Are Ready Email
You will also receive an email from our system alerting you that your digital files are ready to download. The subject line of this is email is ‘Your dowloads are ready’, and the email will include a link to directly download your digital content.
If a pattern or collection you have purchased has to be corrected or updated, you will receive an email with the subject ‘Update available for XXXX’ where XXXX is the product (for example, Confident Knitting). This email will include a download link for the new content.
Adding Patterns to Your Ravelry Library
If you use Ravelry, you can also add your digital content to your Ravelry library. You can do this from your Order Confirmation email. The subject line of this email is “Order # confirmed” where # is your order number. In that email there’s a button that says "View your order":
When you click that button, it will take you back to your Order Confirmation Page, where you’ll see the option to ‘Add Patterns to Ravelry’.
Clicking that link will take you to this page on Ravelry:
If you are not already signed in to Ravelry, you can do so in the top righthand corner. Once you do, a pop up box will ask if you’d like to add the title to your Ravelry library:
If you were already signed into your Ravelry account when you followed the ‘add patterns to Ravelry’ link, it will bring up an invoice with a check box. When checked, you’ll see text that says ‘stored in my library’:
If the box is unchecked, it will read ‘not in my library’. Make sure the box is checked!
Once you’ve added the digital product to the Ravelry library, you will also get a notification from Ravelry’s system to let you know an update is available when new patterns are released. When an update is available, it will appear in your library attached to the relevant book title not pattern name (i.e. Confident Knitting will have an update available, not the individual pattern Flux Hand Warmers.) An update available icon will appear by the publication in your Ravelry library, as below:
