#SpringintoColourKAL pattern inspiration
Our #SpringintoColourKAL is in full swing over on Ravelry and Instagram, and I think we’re all finding lots of joy in some colourful knitting! If you've not joined us yet, or perhaps are looking for a second or third cast on, today we’re bringing you some patterns big and small that would make for great entries!
2 Color Socks by Joji Locatelli — a little bit of colour, a little bit of lace … these would be particularly delightful in two shades of Coop Knits Socks Yeah! 4ply!
Practice your brioche with the stunning, just-released When the Rainbow is Enuf shawl by Mara Licole.
In the mood for a clever hat? Toph by Woolly Wormhead would make a great choice!
Who DOESN’T want to wrap their mug in sheep? The Baa-ble Mug Cosy by Donna Smith would be a great project for practicing your stranded colourwork (and we’ve got plenty of J&S 2ply Jumper Weight in the shop!).
I’ve recently really been enjoying projects designed to use scraps and leftovers. Stephen West’s Pengweeno would be an oh-so-cute leftovers project for a wee one in your life. (There’s an adult version too!)
Winter Suns by olgajazzy gives plenty of scope for playing with colour (Socks Yeah DK! in Tartarus or Minos would make for a great main colour!).
Jen’s Momo Hat takes just one skein each of two colours of Something to Knit With Aran (which, psst, is currently on sale!).
Or perhaps you’d like a bigger project ….
Like Burrafirth, by Gudrun Johnston (currently on sale to celebrate Gudrun’s birthday — no code required!).
Or Mountain Mist by Tin Can Knits, with its simple but effective colourwork.
Or maybe now’s the moment to tackle an allover colourwork project, like Emily K Williams’s stunning Arrina (also knit in J&S 2ply Jumper Weight).
Whatever you choose to knit, do keep sharing over on the Ravelry group and on Instagram using the hashtag #SpringintoColourKAL (don’t forget the U in coloUr!).
The UK government has tightened restrictions on people and businesses, but online retail is specifically still being encouraged. Since we can ship orders without contact with any other people, we will continue to do so for the moment.
